Bernadette x Genna
This woe of fate isn’t yours to bear alone.
Genna wasn’t interested in Bernadette and Bernadette wasn’t interested in Genna. This was how they first started their partnership.
One was born in a strict household of knights, while the other born in little village of shaman. One was charming, self-proclaimed ladies’ man and the other a passive knight with hygiene problem. From their lineage down to their attitude, they both were very different. Not even their goals are the same: Genna wants to overthrow their country’s tradition while Bernadette only wants to do something worthwhile. If there’s one thing they shared in common, it was how they were “shaped” as a person. Both walked the path that has been prepared for them without a chance to defy it. And ironically, it was the fate that Genna despised so much that brought both paths crossed at a point.
By throwing away their comfortable life behind, they gambled with destiny. Vows were exchanged: Bernadette will become Genna’s hands, dirtying her own and in return, once it all ends, Genna will return Bernadette, neither to life nor earth, but to nothingness.
They are partners; always do and always will. Be in death or life.
This is our tale, not yours.
(As a side note, Genna no longer consider Bernadette as a woman, hence why he’s so comfortable around her.)
